GSC has been researching and developing our revolutionary new bat
for two years!
So what the heck has taken so long?!
To our ever so loyal and patient Customers,
We have been working our fingers to the bone and exercising every
single one of our brain cells creating a revolutionary new product that
soon
you will come to know and love just as we have. Gates Sports
Company started this project 2 years ago in Phoenix
Arizona. As
softball veterans, we recognized that China is not capable of making American sporting equipment to American standards.
In February of this year, we finalized design concepts. Since
then, we have put research and development in overdrive to make the
greatest bat on
the market. We began with assembling our team of
experts and quickly putting them to work. We first designed the look and
feel of the bat.
After that, we needed to find a location in which
we could start producing them. After extensive research we decided to
locate manufacturing in
South Carolina. We renovated the plant
and began the long process of
researching, developing and testing bats. Little did we all know the
amount
of time a company has to put
into preparing a bat that uses completely different technology from
the current industry leaders. Let's just say there
is a lot
involved!
You asked for it, so we made it. We integrated the knob into the handle of the bat (to improve grip and comfort level). We eliminated the end cap
on our bat. This makes it impossible to shave. According to leading bat shavers. We did this to promote safety and fair competition but also
because we are 100% confident you will never feel the need to improve our bat's performance! We'd say that makes for a much more fun and fair
game. By ensuring all players are on equal ground, our industry may one day be allowed to make an even MORE powerful bat!
We tried many materials including military grade fiberglass and Kevlar to find the perfect material suited for our bats. We even went as far as
testing out a volcanic rockwoven into the fabric. Our final combination provides tons of power without compromising durability.
Have no fear Big Guys!! We figured nothing could test our bat's strength better than let's say a two ton truck or three ton forklift so we started up
those engines and drove right over. Needless to say not even you body builders could break our bats. We have also been working with teams
willing to hit for hours on end to test the durability. Just imagine a season where you only buy one bat! *GASP!*
We have spent so much time and effort on these bats we know you will not be disappointed. Our latest prototype will out perform and out last
the competition in the game year after year. Right now we are cutting molds and building new custom computer-controlled bat-making machinery,
so give us a bit longer to iron out production procedures and I promise it will be worth the wait! Thanks for all the support and patience.
See you on the field!
Sincerely,
Kacie McKinlay
